GOURMET

This is the story of the son of a laborer in a Lugo slaughterhouse married to a rich Chilean heiress. Both must face the economic setbacks of confinement on the real estate market.

During the COVID lockdown, I had the unusual experience of directing the cinematography of a film from home. I was also lucky enough to work with one of the most generous directors I have met, Juan Diego Botto. I particularly remember trying to make a tracking shot with a toy truck while explaining to the actor, who had also become the electrician, camera operator and quite a few other things, how the shot needed to look. It was certainly an experience, and also a source of good moments during a very difficult period.

Durante el confinamiento por la COVID tuve la extraña experiencia de dirigir la fotografía de una película desde casa. También tuve la suerte de trabajar con uno de los directores más generosos que he conocido, Juan Diego Botto. Recuerdo especialmente intentar hacer un travelling con un camión de juguete mientras explicaba al actor, convertido también en eléctrico, operador de cámara y unas cuantas cosas más, cómo tenía que verse el plano. Desde luego fue toda una experiencia, y también una fuente de buenos momentos dentro de un periodo muy difícil.
